For almost 50 years E&S has been providing ductwork contracting, manufacture and installation services to the UK construction industry and we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of ductwork manufacturing technology and investment. We offer galvanised, Flameshield fire rated and stainless steel sheet metal ductwork manufacture in our own dedicated factory as well as all of the associated equipment selection, procurement, installation, insulation, testing and commissioning services needed for highly functional air handling systems.
E&S has the capability to offer a complete airside package direct to management and main building contractors, as well as the traditional sub-contract to services contractors. Responding to the needs of our clients is fundamental to E&S’s philosophy - the service we provide is comprehensive, innovative and flexible. Our engineers can understand and anticipate the client’s changing requirements and, working closely with them are able to offer inventive ideas and solutions based on our many years of experience in the ductwork industry. With a genuine commitment to training, technology and continuous improvement, E&S strives to achieve the best engineering solution without compromising our consistently high standards of manufacture and installation. We are licensed to offer Flameshield Fireduct, the market-leading fully compliant fire rated ductwork system trusted by leading architects and developers in the world’s most prestigious buildings.

Environment
E&S takes the improvement of our environmental performance very seriously and are conscious that our commercial activities have an impact on the environment during production, installation and throughout the lifespan of the project. Our Continuous Girth Flange ductwork reduces air leakage and when considered early enough in the design process allows for the selection of smaller and more energy efficient plant. Flameshield fire rated ductwork is manufactured without the need for coating and is therefore more sustainable. We minimise our environmental impact by setting clear objectives and regularly monitoring and benchmarking our performance accordingly. We aim to ensure that the environmental impact of our activities is as low as is practically and economically possible.

Corporate Social Responsibility
E&S Heating & Ventilation Ltd actively supports and gets involved in our projects’ CSR agendas working with and supporting several local schools in their projects and competitions. Examples include participating in Eastbourne Education Business Partnership’s Young Engineers Challenge and exhibiting at the Big Futures show where we met with students hoping to spark their interest in future career and training opportunities in our sector.
Health & Safety
Ensuring the health & safety of our employees is at the heart of how we work at E&S. To best protect the health and wellbeing of our employees, contractors and members of the public, our manufacturing and installation activities must always be carried out in a safe way. We are all responsible for the day-to-day safety of ourselves and those we work with, however overall responsibility sits within the management team. Like all our other systems, the key to great safety performance is a continuous improvement culture that challenges established practices and strives for new, smarter and safer ways to work. E&S operates a five point PPE policy on site; boots, glasses, hi-vis, gloves and hat.

Training & Development
The training and development of our staff is fundamental to the future success of our business. We are fully committed to supporting the continuous learning and development of our people and employing and developing a workforce that reflects the diverse society in which we live.
For our site team, we recognise the importance of formal skills certification. Our site supervisors all hold as a minimum NVQ Level 3 in ductwork installation, SSSTS, IPAF, PASMA, First Aid at Work and various manual handling equipment certifications. We insist on 100% compliance with the CSCS SKILLcard standard for our directly employed team and all our subcontracted labour.
We are also keen to develop the skills of our technical and commercial teams and recognise the importance of both structured learning and on-the-job training.
COVID-19 Staff Testing
We're pleased to announce that E&S are part of the new We Offer Testing To Our Staff scheme in partnership with NHS Test and Trace: This scheme shows both our employees and customers that we’re dedicated to regular workplace testing and going the extra mile to keep them and the public safe. We are dedicated to stopping the spread of COVID-19 and are happy to play our part in helping to keep the country safe. Alongside the rollout of the vaccine, regular testing is likely to be an essential part of the easing of restrictions as it will help quickly find cases and suppress the spread of variants.
