Welland is a leading supplier of stoma care products and forward thinking, commitment to innovation and continuous improvement has seen them outgrow 8 manufacturing sites in a bid to keep abreast of the latest technological advancements in design and automated manufacturing. The transition from a small office in Billingshurst where all of the products were made by hand to a purpose built state of the art research, development and manufacturing facility where production relies on robots and lasers has been an impressive journey. The construction of a new 70,000 sq. ft. factory and 20,000 sq. ft. office for Welland Medical, delivered a new building with an eaves height of 12 metres, 4 loading and 5 level access doors and heating and lighting management throughout. The precision engineering needed for the manufacturing processes inside relies on an equally precise ventilation system.
